Our History
The Phatharaworanee family; a family grown up in Phuket, opened Kata Sea Breeze Resort in 2000. The family has played an important part of Phuket’s history since 1990 when they developed the first inn and condominium in Phuket City Centre.
The family opened the resort with just 60 guest rooms way back then, and today, with the continued growth of Kata beach and repeat guests, the resort boasts 330 guest rooms and suites. Kata Sea Breeze has since become an award winner for their environmental awareness and ‘best in class’ 3*+ beach resort in Asia.
Managing Director Khun Supaporn Phatharaworanee put the day-to-day operations of the resort into the hands of her three daughters who then together with their international management team set up ‘AKSARA Collection’ as locally branded management arm to look after their two resorts and one hotel. ‘AKSARA Collection’ built their flagship ‘The SIS Kata’ in 2017 which very quickly became a well-known hillside resort welcoming over 77 different nationalities of guests to the resort.
Each daughter has their own responsibility but all work together striving to make the resort famous for offering guests excellent value for money and a place to make new friendships. After all, traveling the world is about undertaking new experiences and meeting people from around the work and other cultures.
